Point one: One of the first lessons we learn as small children is how to not BE LOUD! It astonishes me sometimes when grown adults fail to demonstrate a mastery of that lesson. Especially on the bus late at night. If you're seated in the back, the people in the front don't need to be able to follow every word.

Point two: I get to play John Hancock in 1776!! A major upgrade from recent roles. We'll see if it represents something along the lines of semi-permanent promotion within the ranks or just an act of desperation (we're still two guys short of a skeleton cast...but there is time remaining). I'm still very stoked. With luck, the yelling about not having everything memorized will be minimal. But I do expect some historical clashing of heads with the director. A) he's him. B) He tried to cut Maryland! This does not bode well.

Point three: There is much that's been written about what immortality would do to human personality. In "The Risen Empire" there is even some thought given to what immortal cats would be like. I don't think it requires much stretch of the imagination for you to come to the same general thoughts on the subject.

...but what would immortal dogs be like? I must admit, this particular thought experiment leaves me stymied. It's odd that personality extrapolation is so easy for one species and so hard for another. The best I can think of is that dogs are so timeless that it'd have no effect at all...but that seems unsatisfying.

Point four: I dreamt I was car shopping the other night. I found a nice new Volkswagen Bug right in my price range: $785. Once inside, there was no dashboard, just a bucket seat and a shiny modern steering column coming up out of the floor. When I walked aroundt the partition behind the driver's seat I found a bed and home-entertainment center with wrap-around bookshelves. The salesman kept wanting to give me t.v.s (one for the front too), but they were smaller than the one I already own (in waking life) and I planned to buy a larger one once the sale was complete, so it was just annoying. You don't need little t.v.s cluttering up your life when you plan to buy a big-screen. From the bedroom, you had to climb the stairs in the back in order to reach the kitchen/dining room/observation platform. It had a very pretty, if indistinct, view for a car dealership. Something misty green and possibly jurrassic.

Oh, and it got 55 miles to the gallon. I asked about that even before I saw the bedroom.

This car made me very happy. When I woke up, I realized that I hadn't know they made a Volkswagen TARDIS.

...since I general only remember dreams that are either disturbing or could be transposed into action movies, I'm going to take a stab in the dark and say this had something to do with my apartment-hunting experiences. It's nice to know my subconcious is more optimistic than I am....or possibly just more impatient.

Ah, there you are. ;-) *adds to flist*

I'll definitely be at the shindig. We can swap. I'll bring the last 5 (three sandman and two death books) for your delectation and you can pass them back via your Dad to my Mom at your convenience.

See you there.

...Banned from the theater? Wow. Those must be super-fun rehersals. ;-)
