Two steps forward, one step back
Oct. 18th, 2005 01:43 pmUnfortunately the rental office only had a key available for one of the two places I wanted to look at today at lunch.
Fortunately it was the place I was most interested in.
Unfortunately there was a vagrant napping right next to the front step.
Fortunately once inside, the place was _huge_. Not fancy, but lots of decent space for the price. Just exactly what I want. Perfect location and lots of room for bookcases.
Unfortunately in order to rent it, they want me to have 1 year of employment in my current field, and I've only been working steadily for about six months now.
Fortunately they also have have the option for a co-signer on the application.
Unfortunately my parents have already done that for me in the past and made clear, at the time, that after that particular co-signage I'd be on my own...and I can hardly blame them for it.
Fortunately...well...um...stay tuned. There's got to be something fortunate on the horizon.
I just hope it's not my trip to D.C., because I'd prefer something fortunate a little _earlier_ than Thursday evening.
