Despite a somewhat...quirky performance, the audience to our final show ate it up with a spoon and gave us our first and only standing ovation. A very fitting tribute, I thought, to a work-in-progress that spanned three months of blood sweat, toil and tears....mostly sweat and toil with some tears and just a hint of blood, actually. Also, if I never have to wear acetate fabric again, it'll be too soon.
And come Monday, we start the entire process over again for "A Christmas Carol", which I was wrangled into doing despite protests in order to "plug a half dozen casting holes." So much for a quiet month or two to get my bearings.
