Angel Plot bunny
Mar. 12th, 2004 12:50 amFred is dead. She is gone, she is an ex-scientist, her soul has been burned to ashes, in every possible way, she is non-ressurectable. This was a point strongly made in the episode.
...except they missed one.
TPTB _really_ don't like it, but it remains within the realms of possibility for Angel&Co. to rewind time to a point where Fred still exists. Then put her, and the coffin on a frickin' plane to Britain, so that when Illyria is extracted, there are no innocent bystanders in the way to be struck-down by a metaphysical plague. Sheesh! How hard is it people?
More to the point, since TPTB don't like time travel, and to _really_ highlight the point that Fred cannot be saved, have Wesley go back in time and _not_ be able to stop Illyria's rebirth and/or save Fred.
Can you imagine the angst? Reliving such a profound tragedy and being impotent to prevent it?
I don't know why the bus is so conducive to random thoughts like this, but there you are.
