Frabjuous Day!
Mar. 9th, 2004 03:28 pmOh joyous freedom! I have finally gotten off of my duff and hauled out my own computer, exiled to storage mid-June a year ago. I am connected in my very own room and can now surf the net (and do everything else) after 10pm when the folks retire (the other computer is in their room).
My mouse didn't like storage and now refuses to work. It's very odd. I swapped it to the other computer and it worked just fine...for a while. Then it just froze up and a reboot said that the computer wasn't reading _any_ mouse.
Let me tell you, attempting to navigate through a PC, let alone the Internet, with only the arrow keys, Alt and Tab can be done, but it's no picnic. Unless I can figure out what it is about my mouse that they don't like, we may have to swap the sucker daily, me removing the mouse when the folks go to bed.
...lovely.
Still, other than that frustration (and there _always_ has to be _some_ frustration), I'm actually elated. It's been nearly a year since I've had access to some of this stuff.
