One week down

It's been 7 days since I took up residence in this; my "swingin' bachelor pad" and I must count myself content. The bookshelves are up and full (though still not completely organized), the DSL and cable are connected (and may I say that DSL is _amazing_ after a lifetime of 56K) and the locale is just right. There have been 1 or 2 amusing stories I'll have to relate when my brain can actually focus. And pictures! I shall have to figure out how to picture post because I'm just that proud of these bookcases. ;-) For a studio it's remarkably spacious...I keep getting surprised by that. A definite step up from the childhood bedroom and one, I hope, that will last me for some time.

In other news, I just went on a "winking" campaign on several online dating pages. Talk about casting your bread upon the water! Knock on wood, at least one will consider it worth a follow-up.
