(no subject)
Nov. 3rd, 2005 04:23 pmMy _God_ but it's gotten dreary. Autumn has come to the valley with a vengance: drizzle, rain, mist and perpetual overcast. This is not the time to be having bicycle troubles (or a bike, for that matter), but there you are. Or rather, here I am.
The other random observation for the day: One of the arms of my headphones snapped in half today. It's a sad catch-22. I buy cheap headphones because they break all the time. They break all the time because they're cheap.
Unfortunately, I'm not sure if expensive headphones would be any better. 'Expensive' in terms of audio technology tends to work out to "better quality" not "more rugged", and given that these headphones are stashed in my coat and used only on a bike, they do tend to get an unintentional work-out.
Finally, when a director only wants 16 bars of audition music because he "already knows what you can do", it's really quite disheartening...because either:
A) he doesn't really, but you'd be hard pressed to prove that in 16 bars
or
B) he's actually got a good handle on you, which explains the string of chorus roles you'll never, ever escape.
...but that's a depressing subject for another depressing day.
