So I'm teaching a class on Saturday at work. Go me. Coming in on a weekend isn't great, but at least I'm at the front of the room.
The bad news: I was informed on Tuesday that I'd be doing this.
The worse news: it's on a subject I know very little about.
I'd been _planning_ to do a presentation to another department soon on a subject I have great familiarity with. That'll happen next week. However, in all the meetings and con-calls I've had the joy of attending recently, that was the only presentation I was mentioned as being a part of.
It's a bit like being asked to present some thoughts on Shakespeare...which is fine, but first they'd like you to put together 40 minutes on partial differential equations for the Algebra II class that you're currently taking!!!
Trust and responsibility is well and good, but I think I need to start thinking of a long-term exit strategy.
