Wizards at War

There's so much I want to say about this book...and every single line of it would be spoilers. Horrifically huge spoilers of such an amazingly unexpected nature that I might as well proclaim that Luna Lovegood would bear Harry's lovechild in book 7.
Ponch!
Carmela!
Spot!
Ronan!
Roshaun!
For a book that primarily deals with the impending destruction of the entire _universe_, I certainly hadn't expected it to be so funny. But I'd forgotten that one of Duane's primary weapons against evil is delight...even if it's a delight only felt by the reader.
Plot-wise, the book wraps itself up pretty nicely. _Character_-wise...I can't wait for "Wizard of Mars". One gets the sense that it will be less earth-shaking...but possibly bring larger changes for the characters (as if that were actually possible). Certain Kit and Nita shuffled around the _brink_ of something several times.
And Ponch, well...
